It’s the New Year and chances are you’re ready for a reset. Whether it’s detoxing sugar, upping your exercise, or finally getting rid of uncomfortable bloat, the start of the year is a great time to recommit to your health.
But it’s one thing to recommit, and another thing to take meaningful action.
Since 80% of New Year’s resolutions fall off prior to February 9th this year do something different — skip the resolution and pick up a new habit.
Here are 4 simple ways you can reset your health today to help put you on track for your healthiest and happiest year yet.
1. Try Intermittent Fasting this Week.
Intermittent fasting has been catching a lot of interest in the past few years, and there’s no wonder why. Research shows that this way of eating helps increase fat burning, reduces inflammation, and slows down the aging process.
Get started with a 12-hour fast overnight and wake up feeling more focused and energized.
2. Take a Detoxifying Bath with Epsom Salts.
Draw yourself a bath with two cups of Epsom salts and soak in it for at least 20 minutes. Epsom salt is high in magnesium, an essential mineral that is depleted during high stress. Magnesium also improves sleep and focus, promotes relaxation, and helps muscles and nerves to function.
3. Add in Key Supplements.
Even with the commitment to eating healthy, most people are still missing some key vitamins and minerals.
My top 3 go-to’s for daily supplementation are Vitamin D3/K2 to support immune function especially if sun exposure has been lacking, magnesium glycinate to relax muscles and promote sleep better, and a methylated B vitamin to increase energy and detoxify more easily (Even more important if you know you have the MTHFR gene mutation as is the case in 30-60% of the population).
