I pulled my lower back while surfing in late August, but thanks to Charlotte and Alpine Fit's personalized treatment approach, I was able to climb up to Longs Peak's Boulderfield with a ~50 lb backpack in tow 2 weeks later! That's what I call... results. Charlotte was able to immediately identify the root cause of my pain and provided tailored therapy/dry needling/exercises that had me feeling better, even after the first session. It's all about getting back to where you were (or better!) after an injury - Alpine Fit delivered that for me.read more

I am so happy I found Dr. Kyle, Dr. Charlotte and Alpine Fit. I have had chronic neck and back pain for years, due to spinal injuries. The approach at Alpine Fit is very targeted with the use of not only strengthening exercises but many others.... They use dry needling, scraping and deep tissue work to help relieve the muscle spasms and tension throughout my body.I have been to many other physical therapists where they basically just gave me a print out of exercises and sent me home. Alpine Fit is completely different. They spend time getting to know you and your body, to help you get better and achieve your goals!Thank you Dr Charlotte and Dr. Kyle!read more

I came to Alpine Fit after discomfort in a hip flexor became intermittent pain. Dr. Charlotte was able to quickly isolate the site of the pain and the root cause being weakness in my glutes. It turns out that not only was this the source of my hip... flexor issue but also contributed to some other running knee issues I have had over the past several years. Without going to Alpine Fit, I probably would have just dismissed those issues as having “bad knees”.Dr. Charlotte created a set of exercises for me that evolved weekly to not only resolve the hip flexor pain but to also develop strength so that the problem doesn’t return. So far the improvement in my legs and performance has been notable. With the improvement in strength and reduction in pain while running, I am starting to look at returning to longer distance races that I have been missing out on for the past many years.read more

My experience with Alpine Fit was excellent. I had been dealing with a longer term, hard to diagnose injury. They took the time to ask a number of important questions to understand the symptoms I was experiencing. As a result, they correctly... diagnosed the issue and put in place effective rehab exercises for me to use. Each exercise built off of the prior one effectively which resulted in tangible progress in my recovery. They also did a nice job with dry needling which helped as well. The staff were professional, understanding, and goal oriented which I appreciated tremendously. Many thanks to them in working through a frustrating, nagging injury to help get me back out and running again. Highly recommend!read more

I was recommended to Alpine Fit for a frozen shoulder. My range of movements was very limited as well as the pain was pretty intense all the time. Even very simple movements, such as closing the door of the car, were impossible when I started with... the therapy.I am still seeing Dr. Charlotte weekly, but my range of movements has drastically improved over the weeks. I can now move the shoulder much better, and the pain is minimal. The expertise and commitment that Dr. Charlotte demonstrates during each session is impressive. I also really appreciate the session notes she provides, with the exercises to do at home. I feel so very lucky to have found Alpine Fit to address my problem. I am sure the recovery would have been much longer and probably not complete without the expertise I found at Alpine Fit.read more

I started seeing Dr. Kyle to help relieve my back pain and sciatica. I was impressed at how quickly she was able to get at the root cause of the issue and she provided me with a very clear plan of how to get back to running and stop the pain cycle.... She provided me detailed and specific exercises for posture and strengthening that I found to be very helpful. I am feeling better and back to running thanks to Dr. Kyle. I only wish I had taken the step to get in and see her sooner! I plan to continue seeing Dr. Kyle to help me improve fundamental aspects of posture and movement because what I learned from my short experience with Dr. Kyle that seemingly innocuous or sometime counterintuitive changes in how I stand and move reshape the body and improves my wellbeing.read more

I tore a meniscus while running and I really wanted to avoid surgery if possible. With in a year (long time but better than surgery, at least for me) it felt 100 percent better, thanks to my visits with Kyle and the physical therapy she prescribed.... I have had long-term lower back and hip pain for over a year and a half, from a running injury I got in college. It was so bad I couldn't sit for longer than 20 minutes at a time, I was distracted at work from the pain, and not feeling confident, in... control, or kind towards my body. I had gone to 4 other physicians or physical therapists in the past to resolve the issue, with no long-term relief or solutions. Going to PT sessions here has for the first time in the past 18 months created substantial and noticeable changes for the better. I appreciated Dr. Kyle Willets personable attitude, and the holistic understanding she has of body mechanics. In my case, I had to re-teach my body proper posture, which is no easy feat but the tools she's provided me have 1) alleviated my pain, and 2) is strengthening my body in a sustainable way, so I hopefully never revert to my old injury. She outlines the "big picture" path forward out of pain and into long-term relief and strength, but is very adaptable and will work with you where you're at for each session (some days I came in with pain and we would work on releasing that tension, other days I felt good and we would work mainly on strength). She has a lot of tools in her toolbox to get me back to where I want to be, and I have made substantially more progress working with her than I had with any other professional in the past over the course of my injury. Will absolutely be continuing my progress with her, and recommend her to anyone else who wants undivided attention to get better.read more

Dr. Kyle is outstanding at what she does...and so passionate about it. I had a severe leg injury in 2011 that resulted in 5 knee surgeries. I had LOADS of physical therapy throughout that time, and was and have been very active in my rehab and... maintenance of my knee health and compensation patterns being a Pilates teacher. A few years ago, I moved to Colorado and took up skiing (never thought that was in the cards for me!) which have resulted in a bit more fascial tightness and pain around my knee that Dr. Kyle was able to beautifully solve through exercises, manual therapy, and needling. I had a baby about 10 months ago and I ended up being pretty sedentary for several months. All the strength and support I had around my knee atrophied and even walking down the stairs became difficult and precarious (my ACL is loose). I was so glad that I had Dr. Kyle to partner with in getting my strength and support back so I can chase after my baby boy, get back out on the trails, and have confidence in everything I do. Thank you so much, Dr. Kyle! I'm so very appreciative of you.read more

Dr. Kyle: Thank you for strategically guiding me towards overcoming long standing health issues by utilizing a unique professional approach which encompassed dietary, physical therapy and spiritual strategy.
I have seen Dr. Kyle for nutritional & Ayurvedic wellness coaching, physical therapy, bone broth cleanses, mindfulness lifestyle improvements, & the most intuitively administered & profoundly healing cranial sacral therapy imaginable. She is a true... healer— and the best part is everything is evidence based & scientifically backed. She’s the rare complete package; blending eastern & western healing modalities to holistically address her client’s issues at the root cause. She does not just resolve pain or problems— she helps elevate you to previously unimagined levels of health & wellbeing. My journey to health with Dr. Kyle began years ago, and continues today. I initially began seeing Kyle for alignment issues; psoas & postural related back & hip pain. What began as expert physical therapy for what seemed (to me) like surface level sports injuries blossomed into a much deeper & more profound reexamination of my entire approach to my body, to food, to sleep, to lifestyle & to all movement in general. As Kyle began addressing my injuries it became clear they were mere symptoms of much deeper lifestyle imbalances. I lived an extremely stressful & intense life as a stepmom to 3 teens, working professional, & recovering college athlete— meaning I tended to be Gung Ho, without ever mindfully giving myself time to rest, rarely putting my own wellness needs before the needs of others, & never considering the impacts on my body, mind, and spirit. On top of that, about a year into seeing Kyle my husband and I began going through a long IVF & implantation process to get pregnant, so I had the added layer of intensive hormonal therapy. In other words; I was a mess.Over multiple seasons of gradual, progressive, insightful appointments, Kyle peeled the onion on layers of dysfunction, helping me make long term adjustments to my diet, lifestyle, and mindset that actually stuck. There were weeks I felt like I made no progress at all or even backtracked severely, but her endlessly positive, progress-oriented, nonjudgmental & encouraging approach would always find a silver lining in my week. She’d intuitively recalibrate goals to keep them ever-attainable, & make sure I always felt like our treatment plan was manageable. There were plenty of times I felt like there was just no way I had time or energy to receive this type of consistent nutritional & lifestyle coaching with my frequent travels & hectic life, & I’d be embarrassed, overwhelmed, late to appointments, having failed to implement any of the things we’d discussed in our last appointment... and yet I never felt judged for my perceived failures or discouraged from my plan. Kyle’s loving smile, remarkable ability to hold space regardless of where I was at, and her calm & wise disposition are truly what I believe allowed me to stick with it. She is a gem of a practitioner, & I can’t imagine a more well rounded practice in Boulder. Anyone who receives care from Kyle will come away better for it.Fast forward several years— my husband sees Kyle for physical therapy, I have a beautiful, healthy 6 month old baby boy, & I never even think about the things we’ve worked on over the years as they’re now so ingrained in my daily routines. I’ve incorporated her recommendations & guidance to the point it’s truly second nature. I sleep far better, eat mindfully, have eliminated all problematic foods without any cravings, consume way less caffeine throughout the day (& need less! Even with a baby!) I can center myself with meditation & mindful movement & stretches in moments of stress without it feeling like a chore. And most of all I feel seen & celebrated for all I’ve accomplished.I’m now on a postpartum journey where a whole new host of hormonal fluctuations and structural issues present themselves— giving birth & caring for a large, heavy baby are not without their physical impacts. But I know with time & gentle, progressive care from Kyle I will heal & once again be thriving.Could not recommend her highly enough. Seeing Dr. Kyle is a gift to yourself that will keep on giving.read more

At the end of 2019 I made a New Years resolution to address my nagging shoulder issue. 6 days into 2020 - my shoulder kick started my resolution with a “pop” and not in the bubbly sense of the word. I got the shoulder back into working order over... the next 5 weeks and then attempted weight training which put my shoulder back out of commission. The next day was covid lockdown. Two weeks passed and I was referred to Kyle. During our initial discussion I knew she would be able to help me and actually became “my person” during covid. I visited Apline Fit for two reasons: 1. As a supplement to my in-network PT for rehabing a tough sprained ankle. 2. To help me prepare for an ultra-endurance mountain biking race.Over ~6 sessions, Dr. Willets was extremely informative, patient,... and supportive of my goals and injury. She provided exercises to do at home, and in session body treatment and drills. I credit her to helping me complete my 8 day race without any injuries at all! Highly recommended.read more

Wonderful PT! I’d been injured for 2 months and after going to Alpine fit for 3 weeks I was back to running with no signs of my knee returning to injury. I feel much stronger and far better equipped to train on grueling terrain with exercises that... will keep my body in working order. Both the exercises and in person muscle massaging quickly produced very positive results.read more

Dr. Willets is fantastic to work with. Having an autoimmune disease isn’t easy, but she’s helped me manage my symptoms through a nutrition plan that works for me and my tastebuds. She doesn’t just give you a fish so you eat for a day, she teaches... you to fish and navigate the ingredient “waters” of the grocery store.read more

My first PT told me there was nothing she could do for my ankle problems. I had given up hope that I would recover, but then I went to see Kyle (out of network) and after each session I noticed progress, and after 5 sessions I had a full recovery. ... Highly recommend.read more

I went to Dr. Willets for a stiff, swollen knee and feared I would wind up needing a surgeon. She is a very skilled diagnostician and even without MRI imaging, she was able to figure out my problem. She does super effective manual therapy and... gave me great advice for home exercises which didn't feel like a long list of chores, but rather simple things that were easy to do and helped me change the way I move. With her treatments and guidance, my effusion has resolved, my meniscus has settled down, and I have my full range of motion back. I highly recommend Dr. Willets. She is fantastic!read more

PT is tough. Living an active lifestyle with chronic injuries is even tougher. Kyle and Alpine Fit help me manage both. With two shoulder tears in as many years and longterm injuries to hip and knee, I've personally had a lot of body work and worked... with numerous clinicians in Boulder over the years. I've been working with Kyle for most of 2018 and here are the elements have helped me make real, longterm, lasting gains:- Genuine personal attention: taking the time to know my injuries, my style to design and continually adjust a rehabilitation plan accordingly.- Accessibility: the ability to actually schedule sessions (not weeks out) and find the time to do more if its a rough week or reduce sessions if my body is doing well- Depth of knowledge and techniques available: Kyle has an excellent working knowledge of kinesiology and physiology and uses it to develop protocols that are effective and not overtaxing at the same time. The ability to vary between cupping, dry needle, manual manipulation, edge tool, stretching, and measure and track progress provides a overbuilt tool chest of techniques which is exactly what you need to make real progress rather then just treat symptoms like most PTs out there. If you are looking for a place that gives you a take home sheet of exercises and red and green bands and says ;come back in four weeks for your next paper' this is definitely NOT the place for you. Also, if you are looking for a magic fix and don't want to put in any effort, this isn't the place either (and good luck- because such things don't exist once you cross into your 30s!). If you live an active lifestyle but have had some setbacks and want to invest in improving them and yourself as a whole, then I would recommend Alpine Fit.read more

When my orthopedist suggested that I try physical therapy to alleviate my low back pain, I was less than enthusiastic. Been there, done that. Fortunately, a friend recommended Alpine Fit and Dr. Kyle Willets. After years of hunching over a... computer all day, my neck, shoulders and low back were all in terrible shape and my posture was awful. Kyle has taken a holistic approach to help relieve my muscle issues and help me reshape, retrain and strengthen my muscles in an effort to reduce pain and improve mobility. The results have been fantastic and I feel fortunate to have found Kyle and Alpine Fit.read more

Kyle has refreshing, holistic view of health and has been wonderful to work with. As a life-long athlete, I've had plenty of doctors thoughtlessly prescribe a regiment of ice and painkillers for any injury. You will find the exact opposite at Alpine... Fit.The initial mechanical evaluation was thorough with diet, stress, previous medical history, and current lifestyle all being taken into account. During my sessions she helped alleviate my symptoms immediately, but was always searching for the root cause and long term solution.Alpine Fit has exceeded all of my expectations for any professional in the health space.read more

Kyle is just the best. I had a lot of medical professionals give me things to work on and advise but nothing was really working. So I lived with pain for years thinking that is just how it was. Kyle was in charge of rehabbing my shoulder after a recent surgery. I requested a rehab program based on exercises I could perform on my own. She started by performing an in depth evaluation of the shoulder and based on that, gave me a series of... exercises to restore the shoulder to full mobility and function. She put a lot of effort into making sure I understood how to correctly perform the exercises, including making a video and sending me an email in which she described them. We then had regular session where she evaluated my progress and adjusted my regimen accordingly. Thanks in large part to her efforts and oversight, the shoulder now is fully functional and feels great!Among the reasons why I liked working with Kyle and recommend her and Alpine Fit:She was very attentive to how the program was working for me -- she was not locked into any preconceived notions she might have had and continually adapted her views and my program to how my shoulder was progressing and my overall physical situation. Her in-depth knowledge of a wide range of healing modalities including exercise, anatomy, diet, kinesiology, yoga, massage and sleep made her a one stop for any wellness questions I had. She didn't just treat my shoulder but with my overall well-being. I feel that she is a good resource for any health-related question I have. As an example of her general flexibility and desire help her patients in any way possible, she once met me at my gym to observe and provide feedback on my workout routine. She is very personable, her scheduling is very flexible and her rates very reasonable. While I don't necessarily look forward to needing medical attention, I do look forward to working with Kyle in the future.read more

I have seen Kyle for nutrition counseling as well as physical therapy, both with incredible results. Her approach and demeanor is gentle and kind, and her base of knowledge is astounding. I have suffered with chronic neck pain for many years, and in... a very short time, Kyle has gotten me to a level of mobility and freedom from pain that I didn't think was possible. I've never looked forward to PT so much in my life ( and I've had a lot of it). Whether you're looking to gain insight into your nutritional habits, or are rehabbing an injury/struggling with chronic pain, I would highly recommend going to see Kyle - your body will thank you.read more

I loved working with Dr. Kyle for physical therapy! She is very professional and loving. She truly wants to help her patient's and her dedication to her patients' well being and overall health is inspiring and appreciated. My ankle is recovering... well and I believe with time will be strong again. My elbow is challenging, however, I believe the dry needling is working and hopefully, with time, will cure a 5 year old problem. Dr. Kyle is very kind and understanding, yet lays it on the line for what needs to get done for success in recovery.read more

At the time I started working with Dr. Kyle and Alpine Fit for physical therapy I was coming out of six years of health challenges, including: two cardiac stent procedures, a hernia mesh surgery, 7 days of hospitalization for extreme pneumonia,... prostate cancer surgery, a difficult case of sciatica resulting in leg and foot numbness. In light of this list, Kyle has been intelligent and encouraging about setting expectations for therapy along with a positive attitude and sense of humor. It seems to have made a real difference in how I feel and act.I have experienced a consistent upgrade in exercise ability and improvement in posture! And, surprisingly, I’ve seen an improved attitude in general about fitting exercise and health improvement into daily routine. Overall I’ve seen an increase in muscle tone and strength and improvement in spine stability and awareness.Dr. Kyle is perceptive to individual needs and personality. She creates realistic expectations combined with encouragement to reach far better performance.Working with Alpine Fit for physical therapy and exercise has exceeded my expectations largely because of the accountability combined with achievable expectations. Texting records of performance tracking has provided a daily reason to keep track of things and stay honest with self.read more

At first I was hesitant to work with Dr. Kyle. I’ve been in pain for 6 years and nothing’s changed it, why will physical therapy this be any different? But, I’m so glad I did! Since working together I’ve learned strategies to manage my pain as it... comes up and even though I still get pain I am doing things - like camping, running (which I haven’t been able to do for six years), and biking up steep mountain roads I was afraid to ride before. Using what I’ve learned from Dr. Kyle I am more aware of my posture and how I move throughout the day. I still get pain but I’m much more confident about how to get it under control and just have an off day versus not be able to get back out and be active the next day. I’m so thankful to be on a road to health and feeling more confident in my body!read more
